Girl named Namana, a student of Morarji school girl, studying in 10th standard, in her letter sent during October, had placed all facts and sought the PM’s intervention to solve the problems faced by her and her villagers. She had mentioned about the lack of proper roads, electricity, telephone connectivity and lack of basic amenities in schools. Umpteen requests from villagers to officials and elected representatives had fallen on deaf ears.
However, the scenario is very different after December 6 after the girl received the response from the PMO. The PMO has directed the district administration to take necessary measures on a war footing basis.
Soon after receiving the letter even the district administration has sprung in to action with officials making a beeline to the village to take stock of the situation. They have written to the state government to allot sufficient funds to improve basic infrastructure.
