Kadur: A central team visited Kadur taluk on Tuesday, February 14 to assess the drought situation.
The team comprising Jalaj Shrivatsav, Anuradha, Mohan Murali and Sachdev accompanied by DC Sathyavathi visited Nidapatna and Pillenahalli villages in Kadur taluk. During the visit, MLA Y S V Datta conveyed to the team that farmers and labourers had lost jobs due to crop loss and water issues.
Even those farmers at work on their fields met the officials and shared their grievances.
Speaking to reporters after the visit, Shrivatsav said that the team would submit a report to the central government seeking compensation for the drought affected farmers.
