Thrissur: A 20-year-old Bharatiya Janata Party worker has fallen victim to the ongoing political rivalry, between BJP and CPI- M in Kerala.
Nirmal, a BJP activist, was reportedly stabbed during a melee at a local temple festival on late Sunday night. Nirmal was immediately taken to a hospital but could not be saved.
Meanwhile, the district unit of the BJP, has blamed the ruling CPI (M) for the attack on its worker and has called for a strike on Monday.
It may be recalled that just a month ago in Kannur, a BJP worker was attacked and killed by a gang of unidentified men while he was alone at his residence. At that time too the BJP had put onus on CPI-M for his murder.
