New Delhi: No arrest has been made though two days have passed since a Mizoram girl was found murdered in her south Delhi home.
Police, however, said that they were investigating the case and trying to corroborate the sequence of events by questioning her friends.
Juliet Zonunmawi of Aizawl in Mizoram was stabbed to death in her one-room tenement in Munirka area Thursday night after a party with her friends.
Her body was taken to Safdarjung Hospital by her live-in partner Virendra Singh, who was later detained by the police.
“We are investigating all possible aspects and also questioned her friends,” a police officer told IANS.
Saturday, the postmortem examination was conducted on Zonunmawi at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences and her body was handed over to her family.
Police said the preliminary findings showed that she died of excessive bleeding.
