Kota:  After Prahlad Gunjal, another BJP legislator in Rajasthan is in the eye of a storm after a video purportedly shows him threatening voters during the recent local body elections in Kota.

The BJP lawmaker, Bhawani Singh Rajawat, is purportedly seen in the video threatening voters to throw them out of their illegally built homes if they don’t vote for the BJP. The video was shot on a mobile phone in November during the municipal elections in Rajasthan.

Mr Rajawat, meanwhile, denies he threatened voters. “I didn’t use abusive language, I have always helped the poor. I did say that if you don’t vote for us then don’t stay in this place, because I helped them getting this place.”

“We just told the people that we have provided you with all the facilities so you should vote for BJP, whereas Congress did not do anything. Many leaders talk in this language,” Mr Rajawat added.

A few days ago, Mr Gunjal, a BJP legislator from Kota, had allegedly abused a medical officer on phone over not posting a male nurse where the MLA wanted him to. The phone conversation had gone viral.
