Ahmedabad: Intelligence agencies and Gujarat police have dismissed the Home Ministry’s claim of killing three of 10 terrorists who had infiltrated from Pakistan as per media reports.

It was reported that the militants were killed, after Pakistani national security adviser Naseer Janjua gave substantial information to his Indian counterpart Ajit Doval.

However, as per sources, the nine men whom the intelligence agencies thought were a part of infiltrators were merely ATM thieves from Jharkhand.

Not one out of the 10 terrorists have been traced or killed as per reports.

Three out of 10 Pakistani infiltrators were reportedly killed, and the rest as per intelligence agencies, had been zeroed in and an operation was on to neutralize them.

It was suspected that Pakistani terrorists belonging to LeT and JeM, had planned to attack the Somnath temple in Gujarat during Maha Shivratri on March 7.

A high alert was sounded in Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chandigarh.

Gujarat border range inspector general AK Jadeja, said that investigations revealed that they were ATM thieves.
