New Delhi: The high command and leaders of the BJP, which could manage to win only eight out of 70 seats in the Delhi Assembly elections, on Tuesday, February 11, called for a quick review meeting to discuss the causes for such a drastically poor performance. Meanwhile, BJP candidate from Model Town Kapil Mishra, who lost against Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Akhilesh Pati Tripathi has blamed his own party.
Addressing the media he opined that the reason for such a mandate to the BJP was because of its failure to connect with the people of Delhi.
Speaking to ANI and congratulating AAP president and Chief Minister Aravind Kejriwal, he said, “I congratulate Aravind Kejriwal and his party for a thumping victory. By this, the BJP has lost five Assembly elections on a row, which shows that somewhere down the line, the party has failed to connect with the mass.”
