Bengaluru: The crucial state legislative session will begin today at 11 AM. The fate of the government is expected to be decided on the floor of the house.
All the three parties i.e. Congress, JDS and BJP have issued a whip to their MLAs to be present for the session without fail. The all-important finance bill is also expected to come up for debate in the Assembly. If the bill is defeated, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy will be left with no option other than to resign.
More resignations?
According to sources, the BJP is planning to make more Congress MLAs resign. “The efforts are on in this regard,” explained a BJP leader.
“We have also set our eyes on a few JD(S) MLAs, including tourism minister S R Mahesh, Belur MLA Lingesh etc,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the Congress is expected to lead a counter-attack on the BJP under the leadership of CLP leader and former CM Siddaramaiah.
