Hubballi: Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) President Sanjay Desai launched the final leg of the Karnataka Premier League (KPL) 2017 here on September 14.
Desai said former international cricketers Daniel Vettori of New Zealand and Mike Hussey of Australia would provide the live commentary for the KPL matches at Hubballi.
Hubballi will host the remaining 10 matches, including the two semifinals and the final at the KSCA Raj Nagar stadium, over the next 10 days, he said. Santosh Menon, Assistant Secretary of KSCA, said the KPL was launched to provide a platform to youngsters and talented local cricketers.
The Mysuru and Dharwad zones performed well and contributed cricketers for the country. Baba Bhusad, Convener, KSCA, said that authorities of NWKRTC had been requested to keep city bus services till 11 PM to which they had agreed. Meanwhile, office bearers of KSCA, captains of KPL teams, franchises and others took part in the event to unveil the trophy.
