Hubballi: BJP State Slum Morcha Secretary was brutally assaulted by miscreants in Hubballi on Tuesday late night.
Lakshman Korapatti was returning home after having dinner with his friends when unidentified men assaulted him near Keshavapura Shanthinagar church after following him on bike.
The gang of three pulled out lethal weapons, assaulted Korapatti, due to which the latter suffered severe injuries on the head. When some locals heard Korapatti’s plea for help, they rushed to his rescue. The miscreants fled the spot on seeing the locals.
Korapatti has said that he has been associated with the BJP over the last 22 years and he has grown in the party. “Many are jealous of the fact that I have been given scope to grow. Someone who could not tolerate my political growth may have orchestrated the attack,” he said.
