Hubballi: Air India, which is presently operating flights from Hubballi to Bengaluru, in all probability, is expected to increase the frequency of flights and operate daily flights from August first week.
Responding to the pleas by MP Prahlad Joshi and former CM Jagadish Shettar, the Air India MD Lohani has assured them of operating daily flights, it is said.
According to a release issued by MP Joshi, the pending demand for daily flight services from Hubballi to Bengaluru has now been fulfilled and this would help in improving the air connectivity of the region to a great extent.
Besides updating Lohani of the developmental works completed at Hubballi airport, the politician duo also requested him to launch flight services from Hubballi to Mumbai, to which the former responded positively, Joshi said.
As of now, Air India is operating flights between Hubballi and Bengaluru in the evening for five days a week (Monday to Friday).
