Hassan: Three techies from Madhya Pradesh and the driver of the car were killed when a speeding Toyota car collided head on with a private bus on the outskirts of Hassan Town.
The Deceased are Subham Tiwari (26), Ragini Pandey28), Abhishek Gaurav (28) and the Driver of the Toyota Innova Car from Bengaluru Shankara Murthy (30).
The incident took place near the industrial area on the bypass road. One of the injured women has been identified as Aman Preethi form Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. Most of them were working at a software company in Bengaluru and were on weekend tour of Dakshina Kannada. They had hired a private vehicle to visit places of interest in Dakshina Kannada during weekend.
The accident took place when the speeding car driver failed to negotiate a sharp curve and collided head on with a private bus. Inclement weather has been sighted as the other reason for the accident as the visibility was poor on the road. The dead bodies have been shifted to the government hospital mortuary and the injured have been moved to private hospitals for treatment. The accident took place in Hassan police station limits.
