Hassan: Bundles of demonetised currency were found burnt on the road side near market yard in Hassan.
Locals and rag pickers were seen evaluating the burnt currency on the road leading to market and making varied assessment on their own. However, none was able to figure out the reason behind burning large quantity of notes of Rs 1000 and Rs 500 denomination presumably by black money holders unwilling to take the legal route.
Police registered a case and are investigating into the reasons behind such an action and are trying to trace the persons involved.
