Poet Nissar Ahmed, Vishveshwara Bhat graced KSQ Rajyotsava Celebration

Doha: Karnataka Sangha Qatar a frontline community in Qatar aegis to Embassy of India celebrates Karnataka Rajyotsava along with its 15th Anniversary of formation, here on Friday November 14, at Delhi Public School – Alwakra.

Chief Guest of the evening was Dinesh Udenia, first Secretary Indian Embassy Qatar, Nadoja, Padmashree Dr.K.S Nissar Ahmed was chief guest of honor along with Kannada Prabha chief editor Vishweshwara Bhat. Kiran Upadaya from Bahrain Kanada Sangha and ICC president Girish Kumar was the special guest of the evening. Guests were welcomed with beautiful procession by children and honored with bouquets.

The program was begun with lighting of the Lamp by chief guest, special Guests and KSQ committee members. The welcome dance with theme of ‘Rajyotsava’ festival was performed by KSQ delight the occasion.

The beautiful Hampi theme stage was main attraction of the evening. The outstanding skit, Dance and Drama was performed by communities Tulukoota Qatar, Bunts Qatar, Qatar Billavara Sangha, MCC, SKWMA and host team KSQ. Tulu Koota Qatar performed ‘Karnataka Gatha Sambrama’, while MCC members performed a fusion dance, ‘Comedy skit’ by Bunts Qatar and ‘Nada Geethey’ by Billawa Sangha, Daff dance by SKMWA entertained the audience. The KSQ team performed ‘Nudi Namana’ theme describing about rich heritage of Kannada literature and glance of remembering Jnana Pitt Awardees, which was applauded from the gathering and delegates.

Later on stage program has continued, KSQ President Deepak shetty, Vice president Nagesh Rao, general secretary Mahesh Gowda, cultural secretary H.K.Madhu escorted chief guest to the stage. Meanwhile Dr.Nissar Ahmed was honored with prestigious “Qatar Kannada Samman Award” with shawl, Mysore Peta & Memento, Manjunath Rao read out the achievements of the poet. Other communities TKQ,MCC,Billavara Sangha, Bunts Sangha, SKMWA also honored the poet with a memento and Gift. The program followed by felicitation to Vishveshwara Bhat, Main sponsor of event Ghazi Farzallaz GM of Alma Group, V.S.Mannangi KSQ past president and GM of Almuftah, along with Arvind patil president of ICBF.

Special guest Girish Kumar, ICC president spoke on the occasion and applauded KSQ, for its team work & efforts in keep live culture of Karnataka in Qatar. KSQ handed over the donation to ICBF through former president Kareem Abdulla and newly elected president Arvind patil.

Meanwhile KSQ sovereign “Sri Gandha” was unveiled on occasion, chief editor Mrs.Sudha Prabhakar hand over the first copy to the guests.  
The program followed with laughing show from Kannada Hasya chakravarthi Prof.Kishne Gowda. Audience enjoyed the evening with snacks & dinner.

A very talented Dr.Padmashree shetty comperes the stage program with their high command over Kannada Language. President Deepak shetty delivered thanks to all the sponsors and volunteers for grand success of the events.

Tulukoota President Ravi shetty, Bunts Sangh Qatar president Prakash Chandra Ajila, Billava sangha Qatar president Divakar Poojary, MCC vice president Norbert Corda and many other dignitaries, members of other Karnataka associations in Qatar have graced the occasion.
