Dubai: Mangalore Spikers, a sports group of Dubai based Mangalorean youth are organising Late Prashanth Pinto Memorial Cricket Tournament on Friday, Febraury 13, 2015 at Deira Cricket Grounds, Behind Hyatt Regency, Deira, Dubai.
A good cricketer himself, Late Prashanth Pinto was the inspiration for founding Mangalore Spikers team in Dubai. An alumni and ex-president of St. Aloysius College Mangalore was a dynamic person and is missed by his Team members.
Matches will commence in the morning at 8.00 am and is open for the teams /members from Mangalore and Udupi Diocese residing in UAE. Teams will be split into pools and matches will be played on knockout basis. Rules of the tournament will be available on request and the players will also be briefed about the rules prior to the tournament.
Trophies and attractive cash prizes will be awarded to the winners and runner up teams. Prizes will be awarded to best batsman, best bowler and Man of the Series and Man of the match for every match played.
