Dubai: The Precious Parties and Entertainment Services organized “Sangeetha Hasya Sourabha”, a blend of melodious Kannada music with humour, was presented by the Kannadigaru, UAE, at JSS Private School here on April 17.
The programme began with an invocation by Shiva Kumar, followed by lighting the traditional lamp by the guests.
Noted multitalented playback singer and actress M D Pallavi sang beautiful and melodious Kannada songs accompanied by Arun Kumar on the drums, co-singer Krishan Udupa and Udaya Ankola on the Keyboard.
Mallikarjuna Gowda, Arshad Hussain and their spouses were felicitated by the Kannadigaru UAE for their contribution and efforts to spread Kannada in the UAE.
MD Pallavi and Arun Kumar were felicitated by Kannadigaru, UAE for their contribution towards Kannada language and Kannada Music.
A full-fledged comedy was exhibited by renowned comedy artistes who were flown from Karnataka, Richard Lewis and Kirloskar Satya, who entertained the audience with their rib-tickling jokes. Richard Lewis and Kirloskar Satya were also felicitated by Kannadigaru, UAE for their rare talent of making the audience laugh and enjoy life with humor.
Kannada lovers from UAE gathered in large numbers to enjoy the true comedy show, blended with meaningful and sentimental Kannada songs.
Vidya Shivakumar and Bhagya Sadandas compered the programme. President of Kannadigaru UAE, Sadandas, delivered the vote of thanks.
