Abu Dhabi: Its celebration time for the people of Mangaluru, Udupi, Karwar and Kasargod dwelling in Abu Dhabi as India’s leading private carrier Jet Airways inaugurated the first direct flight to Mangaluru on March 29.
Jet Airways now also connects Pune and Ahemedabad daily. This is part of the improved services offered by Jet Airways who is a member flyer of Ethihad Airways connects many destinations in India. Mr. Sudhir Kumar Shetty, President of UAE Exchange Global inaugurated the services at the Abu Dhabi International Airport.
The airline will deploy a Boeing 737-800 Next Generation (NG) aircraft. Jet Airways flight 9W 502 will depart Mangalore at 1740 hrs and arrive Abu Dhabi at 2010 hrs (LT). The return flight 9W 501 will depart Abu Dhabi at 0845 hrs (LT) and arrive Mangalore at 1345 hrs.
The new services will strengthen Jet Airways’ growing international network and offer connections from destinations in the Gulf and inbound traffic into India from North America, Europe and Africa over Abu Dhabi with its strategic partner, Etihad Airways. Jet Airways currently operates daily flights to Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Goa from Abu Dhabi. Jet Airways is currently the only private Indian airline to operate daily flights across 3 major airports in the UAE with over 50 daily flights to multiple destinations in the Gulf from cities in India.
