Abu Dhabi: As part of our social commitment towards our community, India Social and Cultural Centre holds the Youth Festival as a cultural showcase of the artistic abilities of our students and youths residing across UAE.
ISC is conducting Youth festival every year without fail, last year we benchmarked the quality of ISC youth festival by conducting it in a truly professional manner, four extremely talented experienced and senior most judges were brought from India to evaluate the talent show of 350 children participated.
Youth Festival 2015
Youth Festival 2015 is titled “ISC – Nucleus UAE Open Youth Festival” and scheduled for 7,8 & 9 May 2015. Competition will be held at 5 different venues simultaneously. The three day event estimates 500 students from various schools and institution in the UAE to take part in the completions that will host 21 different events and select the best talents in respective fields. This will be a festival of competitions for students/youths and it aims to represent diverse cultures from different Indian states.
A jury comprising 4 eminent and versatile Gurus from different part of India will arrive on 6th May. They will also hold a workshop on Indian dance forms in connection with youth festival.
While the annual school youth festival is a major carnival to test the creative skills of the young students back home, such major Youth Festivals are rarely held for Indian youth in the UAE, this event opens a chance to take part in the competitions and win prizes.
The competitions will have various dance forms including Bharatnatyam, Mohiniyattam Kuchipudi, Regional Folkdance, Kathak, Odyssey, Semi Classical Dance and various forms of music such as, Carnatic, Hindustani, Light music, film song with Karaoke, instrument music, Mono Act, Fancy Dress and so on.
Apart from attractive prizes for individual winners the best emerging winners will be honoured with titles “ISC Prathibha 2015 and ISC Thilak 2015”.
