Bunts Qatar celebrates fun filled Annual Day 2015

Doha, Qatar: Bunts Qatar a non-profit socio cultural community celebrated its fourth annual day on Friday 24th April at the Al Maha Boys Academy.
 
The celebration which began at 5.30 pm had a delightful tinge of culture and tradition. It was an annual event for the Bunts of Qatar to come together as one family and a perfect blend of dazzling cultural extravaganza combined with family bonding.
 
The program began with melodious songs by guest artistes from UAE Pramod Kumar and renowned sandal wood play back singer Supriya Lohith. They were specially flown to Qatar for the annual day celebration, which was followed by a spectacular welcome dance by Bunts Qatar members children’s. The dance was choreographed by Dimple.

Dr.Naresh Shetty an orthopedic surgeon, President of MS Ramaiah Memorial Medical Hospital, President of Bunts Sangha Bengaluru was the chief guest of the evening.  Aravind Patil President of ICBF and ICC general secretary Divakar Poojary were the guests of honour.  Bunts Qatar president Prakash Chandra Ajila and Vice President Navneet Shetty escorts the chief guests to the Dias. Sports Secretary Uday shetty and cultural secretary Akshatha Hegde escorted the Founder member of Bunts Qatar and philanthropist Ravi Shetty to the dias.

President Prakash Chandra Ajila welcomed the audience.  Uday shetty read out a brief report on programs conducted by community. Pranav Naresh shetty was honored with token of appreciation. Meanwhile two bunts, Karnataka Sangha Qatar President Deepak Shetty and Tulukoota president Ravi Shetty were honored with memento for their great leadership works towards community service during Qatar ministry Green Campaign held in January 2015. Karnataka Sangha Qatar won Qatar Ministry Rolling Trophy; meanwhile Tulukoota Qatar won Ambassador Rolling Trophy.

The stage program continued with honoring the  media personnel with a token of appreciation. Qatar’s expatiate, Good Samaritan Prem Kumar Vivian Dsouza was conferred with the prestigious ‘Seva Sampada’ award. Navneeth Shetty read out  the profile of Vivian Dsouza.

Vivian Dsouza hails from Bondel area of Mangalore and is a resident of Qatar from last 35 years. He is working with Almana Group, and is well known at Qatar for his social activities. He was president of Mangalore Cricket Club and general secretary of Tulukoota and currently he is rendering his services at church activities. Speaking on the occasion Vivian Dsouza thanked the Bunts Qatar for honoring him and appreciated them for their community service.

Chief guest Dr.Naresh Shetty was also honored with a memento from Bunts Qatar and other Karnataka Based organizations –  Tulukoota, KSQ, KMCA, MCC, Billava Sangha and SKMWA.

Dr. Naresh shetty congratulated the Bunts Qatar on its 4th anniversary and thanked them for their invitation. He conveyed his message of dedication, integrity and devotion with moral stories and his rich experiences.
 
Akshatha Hegde proposed vote of thanks.
 
The skit performed by the Bunts Ladies Akshatha Hegde, Chaitali Shetty, Shilpa Shetty, Padmashree shetty, Supriya Shetty, Sowmya, Maina shetty, Sudha shetty, prathana shetty and Shobha shetty was main attraction of the day. The skit made the audience laugh till their bellies ached. Saketh Shetty performed mimicry act and the cultural program continued with the singers performing various numbers.
 
KSQ president Deepak Shetty, MCC president Norbert Corda, Tulu Koota Qatar former president Seetharam Shetty, SKMWA president Abdul Maleed, KMCA president Niyaz Ahmed and other prominent community leaders, office-bearers and members of various Karnataka-based associations in Qatar too were present on the occasion.
 
The whole program was compered by multi talented and charismatic Chaithali Suhas Shetty. The beautiful traditional back drop was done by Ramachandra Shetty, which highlighted the program.

The program concluded with a sumptuous dinner.
