You must have come across some stellar makeup artists. With pro techniques up their sleeves, they can transform a mediocre looking person to a drop dead gorgeous looking one. But have you ever come across one who can transform herself/himself into anyone?
Meet Lucia Pittalis, an artist who can morph herself into anyone she wants. When I say anyone, I mean anyone. Jack Sparrow, Queen Elizabeth, Rocky – You name it and she can make that happen!
She has channelled celebrities from Queen Elizabeth and Johnny Depp to Sylvester Stallone in Rocky, all with the most perfect facial details. We kid you not! She uses the power of makeup to paint new bone structure, wrinkles, and face shape, it’s hard to even tell Lucia from her characters!
In her own words:
“I am a painter and makeup artist and a huge cinema, theater and music lover. I fussed my passion for portraits and makeup by developing an artistic project consisting of me turning myself into characters and celebrities, pushing the contouring techniques to the limit. I don’t use prosthetic appliances.
It is so funny to create a character with your own possibilities! I buy old stuff like wigs and accessories at markets and study the characters watching photos, movies, videos. Then I put on some background music related to that character so that it put me in the mood and I am ready to watch myself in the mirror for hours.”
