What’s your pick for this weekend?

It would be a tough choice for cine-goers this weekend with four films vying for their attention at the box-office. While Nana Patekar’s action film, Ab Tak Chappan 2 and romantic comedy, Dum Laga Ke Haisha will hope to draw the audience, they will face competition from the Hollywood film, Kingsman: The Secret Service that is loaded with high-octane thrilling sequences. Ganesh Acharya has already grabbed eyeballs with the song ‘Birju…’ that features in this week’s release, Hey Bro. So, what’s your pick for the weekend?

Kingsman: The Secret Service: This action-comedy film, starring Colin Firth and Samuel L Jackson has won rave reviews in the US. Going by the promos, the film looks stylish, and fun. The film is based on the comic book, The Secret Service, created by Dave Gibbons and Mark Millar. The story revolves around a spy who joins an organisation to fight a global threat.

Ab Tak Chhappan 2: “Force chhodne se pehle 56 encounter kiye they. Yeh ek 56 ke barabar hai.” Nana Patekar’s role as Sadhu Aghase in Ab Tak Chappan had left us yearning for more. One of the most versatile actors of Bollywood, Nana is back after a long hiatus. And not only this, Nana Patekar has performed all the stunts in the film without using any body double. With a more prominent star-cast and higher budget than the original, the film looks all set to make it big at the box-office.

Hey Bro: Hey Bro is the story of Gopi who finds out that he also had a brother, who works as a policeman. Choreographer Ganesh Acharya is playing the lead role in the film. Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan, Ajay Devgan, Ranveer Singh also make a special appearance in the song, ‘Birju…’. Ganesh Acharya has always amazed us with his dancing talent and it would be fun to watch him acting in the film.

Dum Laga Ke Haisha: Dum Laga Ke Haisha is YRF’s effort to break stereotypes prevailing in the society. Bhumi Pednekar has already grabbed eyeballs for her plus-size body. The makers of the movie have decided to keep her look under wraps and Bhumi has also not been allowed to speak to the press before the release of the movie. There is a general curiosity about the movie and the female lead, Bhumi Pednekar, which might increase the footfall in the theatres.
