Bengaluru: ‘Bahubali 2′, which will be released on April 28 is expected to create record on day 1 through its box office collection in Karnataka. According to the KFI Box-office, exhibitor and distributor in Sandalwood who are known for genuine box-office reports of Kannada movies and other language movies’ collections in Karnataka, the film has amassed outstanding bookings in Karnataka.
According to a tweet posted by the KFI Box-office, due to the hiked ticket price, Bahubali 2 will create huge day 1 records in the state. The movie will be released in 350+ screens all over the state.
It can be recalled that few Kannada organisations had opposed the release of movie in Karnataka following surfacing a nine-year-old video of Sathyaraj who plays the role of Kattappa. In the video, Sathyaraj had reportedly made derogatory remarks against Kannadigas and Karnataka on backdrop of Cauvery crisis.
The organisation, which demanded an apology from the actor had threatened to stage a Karnataka bundh on April 28.
This incident forced Sathyaraj to apologise and soon the raged organisations called back the protest.
