Mysuru: The Prize distribution ceremony of inter-college techno-cultural fest “Geethayaana-2017”, was organized on March 25 by GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women.
Rolling trophy of championship was grabbed by the students of Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering. “Geethashri”, an award for overall performance in various cultural and sports events was bagged by Nandini H M from sixth semester, Dept. of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. This was followed by Brain Storm Karate show with the theme Stop violence against Women, which was performed by the students of GSSSIETW, Mysuru and the last day of Geethayaana-2017 colorfully ended with the grand event Miss Geethayaana-2017.
Miss Geethayaana award was conferred on Safura Zohareen, II Sem, Dept of ISE. Nisarga L, VI Sem Dept of ISE was the first runner up while Shreya S Gowda, VI Sem Dept of ISE was the second runner up.
The chief Guest of the function was Vanaja B Pandit, Secretary, GSSS (R), Mysuru. The function was presided over by R. K. Bharath, CEO & Management Committee Member GSSS(R). Dr. Sumithra Devi K A, Principal, GSSSIETW, Dr. Parameshachari, HOD of TCE and chief coordinator of Geethayaana-2017, Dr. Reshmabhanu, HOD of ISE, HODs, staff and students were present.
