St Aloysius emerge overall winners at Crossroads 2K17

Mangaluru: The valedictory ceremony of the two-day national level management festival, Crossroads 2K17 under the auspices of the Department of Business Administration, Mangalore University began with the last round of the Best Manager event.

St Aloysius College emerged as the winner of the Best Manager event besides bagging the overall winners title out of the 17 colleges that had participated in the event.

The welcome note was delivered by Esha, a final year MBA student at Mangalore University. She welcomed the Chief Guest Dr.A.M Khan, Registrar Evaluation, Mangalore University and provided a few insights into his career.

Dr. T.Mallikarjunappa, Professor and Chairman, Institute of Management, Mangalore University; Prof.Putanna K Staff Advisor, Mangalore University; Roshan Paudel, President; Karthik Das, Secretary of business administration and Rakesh , Fest coordinator of Crossroads 2K17 were among the several others present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering Dr A. M Khan reminisced his olden days while he used to judge the Marketing and Mock Press events adding that owing to his busy schedule he is unable to make it anymore. He congratulated the business administration department for handling such a huge event without any hiccups and for doing an excellent job.

Further he said that India is a youth empowered nation, but sadly these days the young generation are unaware of their skill set or goals and stressed that it was imperative for all the people present at the event to develop their skills besides aspiring to become ‘managers’ of managers. He continued to say that tolerance and patience are the key to becoming a good manager as well as a good human being. He said that a good speaker is a good listener and a good listener is a good speaker. He ended by wishing all the managers all the best and to become good people but mostly become a good personality.

The Presidential Speech was given by Dr.T.Mallikarjunappa, Professor and Chairman, Institute of Management, Mangalore University.

A brief report of the 2 day National Level B-School Meet was given by Karthik Das to sum up the event.
