Mangaluru: Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management’s Civil Department & NSS Unit in association with Lions Club, Bendoorwell and Indian Red Cross Society Mangalore Wing with the help of KMC hospital and Wenlock Hospital had organized a Blood Donation Camp at Sahyadri campus, Nethravathi Auditorium on Sunday, 23 October.
The event was inaugurated by Arun Shetty the District Governor of Lions Club by offering a bouquet to the college Principal, Dr. Umesh M Bhushi. The Principal was the first donor of the day’s Blood Donation camp. As many as 50 members of the college donated blood.
Dr. Sharath Kumar, Blood Bank Officer of Wenlock Hospital addressed and briefed the gathering about the importance of blood donation. Nagesh Kumar, the District Coordinator of Blood donation camp and Edward Vas, the Blood Bank In-charge of Indian Red Cross Society, Mangaluru were present on the occasion.
Dr. Umesh M Bhushi, gave the presidential remarks. Shreelatha U A, the AAO welcomed the gathering. The function formally ended with the vote of thanks by Prof. Purushotham C T, HoD Department of Civil Engineering.
