Mangaluru: St Aloysius College beat Yenepoya College to emerge as the victors in the final round of the Mangalore University Intercollegiate Basket Ball Tournament 2017-18. The event was organised by Yenepoya College Mangalore and was held at the Yenepoya University campus Indoor Stadium Yendurance Zone on October 3 and 4.
The tournament was inaugurated by Dr . M Vijayakumar , Vice Chancellor, Yenopaya University, Guest of honour Dr. Gerald Santhosh D’souza, Chairman of Mangalore University campus Physical Education department. Dr. Joby EC Chairman of Mangalore University Intercollegiate Basketball Tournament, Sujith K V , Physical Education Director, Yenepoya College and convener, Mangalore University Intercollegiate Basketball Tournament were present in the inaugural function.
A total of 17 teams participated in this event.
Prof. G Shreekumar Menon, Registrar, Yenepoya University was the Chief Guest for the Valedictory function and Dr Kishore Kumar, Director of Physical Education, Mangalore University was the Guest of Honour.
