Mangaluru: Department of Biochemistry at Father Muller medical college organised one day continued medical education programme on September 16.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Poornima Manjrekar, head of Biochemistry, KMC Mangalore. After the inauguration, she spoke about the importance of biochemical tests in infant and child health check-up and treatment.
Rev Fr Richard Coelho, Director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions presided over the programme. Addressing the gathering he said, “When children are healthy, everyone is happy. When children’s health is bad then the whole family grieves. Father Muller Hospital held this seminar specially for children. Such seminars are more beneficial for children with a well-equipped laboratory available at Father Muller, to develop and provide full-fledged services for the treatment of children.
Administrators of the Hospital Rev. Fr. Rudolph Ravi D’sa, Administrators of the Medical College Rev. Fr. Ajith Menezes and hospital Dean Jayaprakash Alva, organizing chairman Dr. Malathi and organizing Secretary Dr.Avinash were present.
In this one day programme experts spoke on various aspects of pediatric clinical biochemistry.
