Mangaluru: The inauguration of Allied Health Science (AHS) Courses of Father Muller Medical College for the year 2017-18 was held on September 12 at the Decennial Memorial Hall in the Hospital campus, Mangaluru.
In her Inaugural address, Sr. Maria Shruthi AC, Principal of St. Agnes Special School, said, “You have chosen to heal the broken human beings through the various courses that are inaugurated today. Offer your hands to Almighty God and touch with those hands the sick and suffering people and you will realise the power of your healing hands.” She also thanked the FMCI for their services to St. Agnes Special School students. “Use your power of healing to heal yourself, others and the whole world”, she said.
In his presidential address, Fr. Richard Coelho, Director of FMCI welcomed all the new entrants to the institution and speaking about the scope of AHS, he said, “For the next 10 years, there is a lot of demand for the Allied Health professionals. The institution offers the best of its education in the field of Allied Health Science. The differently able people have special talents and it’s the responsibility of Allied Health professionals to brighten their future as our Institution is doing for St. Agnes Special School children. Dedication and commitment, in this field will bring success in your lives.”

Reena T D, parent of a student, expressed that their children would be safe in the institute and definitely do well.
Dr. J P Alwa welcomed the gathering, Fr. Ajith Menezes introduced the chief guest and Dr. Sudeep M J Pais proposed a vote of thanks. The programme ended with Institutional Anthem.
