Bellary: BJP Scheduled Tribe Morcha leader Bandi Ramesh (35) was stabbed to death on June 22 in a dhaba at Guggarahatti of Bellary by armed assailants.
Bandi Ramesh, a resident of Bellary town was released from jail few days ago for his involvement in a murder case. The leader was identified in the group of close associates of Bellary Lok Sabha MP Sriramulu and MLA Somashekar Reddy.
Preliminary reports suggest that past rivalry led to the murder but the actual reason is yet to be ascertained.
Bellary rural police arrived at the spot soon after incident and elaborate security arrangements have been made.
