Bengaluru: A 30-year-old software engineer riding a motorcycle lost his life after falling from his bike on the Electronic City flyover and being run over by a cab. His friend, who was riding pillion, was injured.
The police have identified the deceased as Chandra Duggamati from Nellore in Andhra Pradesh. According to the police, Chandra Duggamati was working at a software company in Electronic City and was returning home from work when the mishap took place.
According to the police, the roads were slippery owing to the rain, Chandra and his friend fell when the bike skidded and before they could get up, a cab hit the bike and ran over Chandra. Passers-by rushed them to a private hospital where Chandra succumbed to head injuries.
The Electronic City Traffic Police have arrested the driver Sattarshi and seized the cab.
