Bengaluru: The 111-year-old Siddaganga seer Shivakumara Swami was airlifted to Chennai for further treatment on Friday, December 7. The seer was brought to the HAL airport in Bengaluru from the Siddaganga Matt in Tumakuru, prior to being taken to Chennai.
After reaching the Chennai Airport, the seer was taken to the Dr. Rela Institute and Medical Centre by road through a green corridor, where he will be treated for his recurring liver tube infection.
A team of doctors in Bengaluru and Chennai decided that the seer should be moved to Chennai for further treatment on Thursday, December 6, after he took ill again. He had previously undergone a procedure on Saturday, where stents were implanted to his liver tube.
Despite his advanced age, the seer has been relatively healthy apart from issues with his liver.
