Road accident: Traffic police dies

Bengaluru: A 35-year-old traffic constable, who sustained severe injuries in a road accident recently, succumbed to injuries at a private hospital on Thursday.The deceased Ramesh S H was a 2005 batch constable posted at Yelahanka traffic police station. A biker knocked down Ramesh on Sunday while he was on duty near Cafe Coffee Day Circle in Yelahanka.

Ramesh was rushed to a near-by private hospital before being shifted to Columbia Asia Hospital where he succumbed to injuries on Thursday.

The biker, Raju, is a resident of RT Nagar. He is an employee of a private cargo company in Kempegowda airport. He was also injured in the accident and is undergoing treatment.

The Yelahanka police have registered a case of death due to negligence, and rash and negligent driving against Raju.
