Puttur man’s devotional album enters India Book of Records

Bengaluru: A devotional music album named ‘Ashta Kshethra Gana Vaibhava’, which brings together songs in praise of deities of eight pious religious centres of coastal Karnataka has created history after it was released in eight countries across the world.
With this rare feat, it has entered the prestigious ‘India Book of Records’.

Renowned spiritual Guru Sri Sri Ravishankar handed over the India Book of Records certificate and memento in Bengaluru recently to the maker of the album, Dr Harsha Kumara Rai Mada, who hails from Puttur.

The album has songs in praise of presiding deities of Tirupathi, Polali, Shabarimala, Kateel, Dharmasthala, Kollur and Puttur Mahalingeshwara Kshethra.

The album was released in America, England, Australia, Dubai, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, India and other countries.

The songs in the album have been sung by famous singers Puttur Narasimha Nayak and Surekha K S and the lyrics have been penned down by Puttur Umesh Nayak.
