Bengaluru: The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRCL) has called tenders for the installation of 33 more ATMs in its stations as part of its long-term aim to cover its entire network. With this, the commuters will have more options to withdraw cash from the ATMS within the stations.
At present, there are as many as 33 ATMs in Namma Metro stations. However, some are yet to be made operational.
The BMRCL plans to ensure that all the ATMs that have been installed are made operational ‘in no time’.
“There is demand for ATMs in the stations. We saw this during the period after demonetisation,” said U.A. Vasanth Rao, General Manager, Finance (Taxation and Resources), BMRCL.
