Bengaluru: Minister for Bangalore Development K J George visited various ongoing works taken up by Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) with regard to construction of signal free corridor from ASC Centre to Hope Farm covering a distance of 17.50 kms and from Hope Farm to KR Puram with a distance of 16.90 km.
While the cost of Signal Free Corridor from ASC Centre to Hope Farm would involve an expenditure of over Rs 135 crore, the corridor between Hope Farm and KR Puram would be created at a cost of Rs 141 crore.
The minister also inspected the National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL) Junction where an underpass is being constructed. The NAL handed over the records related to 1250 sq. mts land to the BBMP in presence of the Minister required for the purpose. The minister has also inspected Suranjan Das Junction near HAL and resolved the land acquisition on one side. It was also decided to take up development of wind tunnel road in lieu of land compensation.
The minister directed the BBMP officials to speed up both the projects and complete within four months.
Mayor G Padmavathi, ruling party leader in BBMP Council Mohammed Rizwan Nawab and BBMP engineers accompanied the minister.
