Bengaluru: Lokayukta special court has granted conditional bail to former Lokayukta Y Bhaskar Rao on January 28, in connection with the corruption cases at the office of Lokayukta, when he was at the helm of affairs.
Advocate C V Nagesh and Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) Ashok Nayak had submitted their contentions before the court. The court which had kept the decision on bail in abeyance till Jan 28, finally granted conditional bail to accused Y Bhaskar Rao.
The special court has cautioned the former Lokayukta to abstain from casting his influence and pressure on witnesses. SPP had argued against granting bail to the accused in the case.
