Bengaluru: The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced the provisional list of selected candidates.
The results for the 2014 examination were announced on Saturday, marking a rather turbulent end to the last six years of serious charges of nepotism and bribery in recruitment of gazetted probationary officers during the 2011 batch exams. This will be the first batch of probationary officers who have been selected based on the reforms carried out by the government in accordance with the PC Hota Committee report.
The topper is Aishwarya R from Mysuru. The 1989-born girl scored 1,286.50 marks to top the KAS exam under the general merit category. Ramesh Kolar from Bagaikot bagged the second rank (1261.25marks).
In the scheduled caste (SC) category, Yathish Ullal from Mangaluru, Dakshina Kannada district topped with 1,226 marks. While Annapurna Nagappa Mudukammanavar from Davanagere topped among the scheduled tribe category with 1.209.75 marks. Ullal and Mudukammamavar have secured ranking under the general category too. The reservation category toppers under SC and ST are K J Praveen Kumar (1179.5) from Davanagere and Dharmapal S (1164.75) from Bengaluru.
