Bengaluru: The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has formed its overseas committee. Dr. Dayananda Naik has been selected as the first president of the committee.
AICC overseas committee president Sam Pitroda inaugurated the committee.
Speaking on the occasion, Pitroda informed that there is a need of strengthening the party organisation by extending the reach and inducting the new members. He also urged the KPCC overseas committee to work on promoting various social welfare schemes of the Karnataka government.
Karnataka NRI forum deputy chairman Dr. Arati Krishna was present on the occasion.
Committee members Gauri Shankar, Satish Nanjappa, Dr. Shrikanth Devangi and other leaders were present on the occasion.
