Bengaluru: Bengaluru Development minister K J George accompanied by Mayor Sampathraj, BBMP commissioner N Manjunath Prasad who is under fire for poor management of flood-related issues and pothole deaths in the state capital created a sort of history on Friday night by supervising the pothole filling works till Saturday 6 am.
They personally monitored the pothole filling exercises carried out by the BBMP in several parts of the city. These leaders concluded their night inspection drive by having breakfast at Indira canteen.
According to the BBMP officers, they started the inspection from Chalukya circle near Vidhana Soudha and monitored filling up of around 2,000 potholes. Next they moved to Bellary road of the city. Later, they inspected pothole filling works in Hebbal flyover,- MS Palya, BEL road, Sanjayanagara and surrounding areas. They concluded their inspection by having breakfast at Indira canteen of Radhakrishna ward.
Speaking on the occasion, K J George informed that as rain is not reported since last three days, BBMP has taken up the pothole filling works on war footing. “90% of the potholes are already filled,” he said.
He also stated that in next five months all the issues related to roads will be resolved
