Bengaluru: With just 48 hours go for the voting for the 14 Lok Sabha constituencies of the South Karnataka, the Income Tax department raided the residences of two contractors in Hassan on the early hours on Tuesday.
According to the sources, IT officers raided the houses of Papanni, one of the nephews of CM HD Kumaraswamy and a former Hassan ZP member. The raid started at around 6 am on Tuesday.
Residence of a contractor named Indresh was also raided in Hassan city. He is considered to be a close acquaintance of PWD minister HD Revanna.
According to the sources, three teams of IT officials are carrying out raids. “A total of 15 officers are part of this raid,” said sources.
