Bengaluru: Karnataka Home Minister Dr G Parameshwar said that the intelligence agencies at the national level have gathered important information about the young IS operatives in the state and that the government has been keeping a close watch on them.
Responding to questions on the information provided recently by the Union Home Ministry about the three men of Karnataka origin who died fighting for the IS in a foreign land, he said that information was being collected however, it could not be leaked.
He said that the Department is investigating on the possibility of IS recruitments in the state. He further said that the government is chalking out measures to prevent youth from being extremists and joining in anti-social groups.
