Bengaluru: The special inquiry squad of City Crime Branch has raided a house in Rajajinagar police station limits and arrested nine people for playing andhar-bahar (gambler’s card game).
The police have identified the arrested persons as Anand (30), Manjunath (34), Muniraju (47), Thimmegowda (38), Mohan (31), Prabhu (32), Madesha (42), Ramesh (37) and Srinivas (46).
According to police sources, the special inquiry squad of City Crime Branch had raided a house (No. 26), on 53rd Cross, 6th Main after receiving information about some people playing andhar-bahar. The police have seized Rs. 2,97,000 cash, 52 playing cards and a carpet from the arrested persons.
A case has been registered at Rajajinagar police station.
