Bengaluru: The doors of the historical Hasanamba Devi temple of Hassan city was closed on Saturday after 11 days darshan to the devotees. It will be opened again next year. According to the district administration,the temple doors will be opened on November 1, 2018 for the darshan.
District incharge minister A Manju, DC DC Rohini Dasari Sindhuri and AC Nagaraj were present at the time of door closure. Two oil lamps were kept near the deities before closing the door. It is believed that these two lamps will be burning for next one year.
According to the temple authorities, this year, door was opened on October 11 and around six lakh devotees took the darshan in the span of 10 days. Gross temple revenue is expected to cross Rs. 5 crores, highest in temple history.
Several prominent personalities including former prime minister H D Deve Gowda had visited the temple to take darshan this year. This year temple was kept open round the clock to ensure that all the devotees will get darshan. But on last day of the darshan, several devotees couldn’t able to take darshan to the heavy rush.
