Govt to provide jobs to 2 women on compassionate grounds

Bengaluru: The State Cabinet has decided to give a government job to Leesha N S who was injured in a bomb blast at Malleshwaram four years ago. The Cabinet which met on Thursday decided to provide government jobs to Leesha and also I S Anitha on compassionate grounds. Anitha’s husband S Ravikumar, working as Superintendent of Police, Lokayuktha Mysore, was killed in a road accident.

Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs T B Jayachandra disclosed the same on June 22.

Leesha was 17 at the time of the April 2013 incident.

She is pursuing MCA at R V College of Engineering and needs the help of a stick to walk around. Leesha has undergone nine surgeries and even now, needs the help of painkillers. She needs to undergo another surgery in a few months.

Her father, Doreswamy Raj, a battery technician, claims to have spent over Rs 20 Lakh on her treatment, medicine and transportation.
