Bengaluru: In shocking incident, a four-year-old girl student in the LKG of a private school in Dasarahalli was sexually assaulted allegedly by a security guard on Tuesday. The incident came to light when the child returned home from school in the afternoon and complained of feeling sick.

The parents rushed her to a near-by clinic and later to M.S. Ramaiah Hospital where the doctors, after an examination, informed that the child had been sexually assaulted.

The shocked parents filed a complaint with the jurisdictional Bagalagunte police, who rushed to the hospital. After waiting for over two hours, they managed to communicate with the victim through her mother; the child accused the ‘security uncle’ of assaulting her.

The police summoned all the five security guards in the school and questioned them. “We are waiting for the victim to recover before asking her to identify the accused,” Bengaluru North Deputy Commissioner of Police Chetan Singh Rathore said.

The police are trying to ascertain how the crime could have taken place despite the school complying with all the prescribed security measures.

The victim is the daughter of a couple from Bihar, who had settled in the city five years ago.

As news about the alleged incident spread, several angry parents gathered at the school demanding action against the accused.
