Bengaluru: Former CM SM Krishna, a Vokkaliga strongman has agreed to campaign for the BJP candidates in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
The BJP central leadership had sent former DCM R Ashok and former minister Raju Gowda to the residence of SM Krishna on Monday and both the leaders discussed the campaign strategy with Krishna, who agreed to carry out an extensive campaign across south Karnataka where Vokkaliga votes are very crucial.
According to the sources, SM Krishna has been requested to hold at least three rallies for which he agreed.
The BJP is planning to use SM Krishna extensively in Bengaluru North and Mysuru constituencies where the party is facing stiff challenge from the JDS.
