Bengaluru: Challenging Star Darshan, former minister Shamanur Shivashankarappa among others will be served notices on Monday as it is evident that their properties stand in encroachment of Raja Kaluve Storm Water Drain at Ideal Homes Layout in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, said Bengaluru Urban Deputy Commissioner V Shankar.
Speaking on the basis of a recent survey report submitted by the Joint Director of Land Records, the DC said that the report as confirmed that 63 properties spanning over seven acres are sitting on drains or other public spaces.
BBMP commissioner N Manjunath Prasad submitted the survey report to the DC stating he has to initiate action as per an earlier high court directive.
Sources in the BBMP said the encroachment clearance drive in other zones will also gain pace from Monday.
