As per sources, the clash is going to be like CPY v/s Anita Kumaraswamy v/s D K Suresh!. This will be the most thrilling political contest because war, vengeance and ambition to win are all going to play up here.
Incumbent MLA, film actor C P Yogeshwar’s decision to quit Congress has made upcoming election an event to watch. Earlier it was expected that C P Yogeshwar, who has won thrice from this seat as an independent candidate may contest 2018 polls as a Congress candidate. But now, it is learnt that he has broken all ties with the Congress and will contest as an independent or as a BJP candidate.
According to the sources, Minister for Power DKS who has developed personal grudge with CP Yogeshwar has decided to field his own brother to tame him. In Congress rally held on Wednesday, banners supporting D K Suresh emerged stating D K Suresh for MLA and D K Shivakumar for Chief Minister!
Meanwhile, the JD(S), which is leaving no stone unturned to make sure that it plays a decisive role in the formation of the government at the state has decided to field Anita Kumaraswamy, wife of former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy.
