Bengaluru to host environment and sustainability festival

Bengaluru: Grammy award winner and well-known Conservationist, Ricky Kej, is all set to host the ‘Roundglass Samsara Festival 2017’ in Bengaluru from October 2 to the 11. This large-scale International Environmental Festival will have series of events including Environmental Art Exhibitions, Film Festivals, Music Concert and Summits. All with the theme of Environment & Conservation.

The ‘RoundGlass Samsara Festival’ was founded to encourage a high-level, inter-disciplinary dialogue between Legislators, Scientists, Film makers, Artists, Environmentalists, Innovators, Musicians, Thought Leaders, Industry Leaders, Media and other important change-makers in the society from across the globe to promote the importance of Environmental Consciousness and Conservation. The Festival brings together all of them to work towards a collective planetary goal of providing solutions and impactful ideas for the ecological crisis at hand through Art, Appreciation and Dialogue.

Coinciding with the 60th year celebrations of our very own Historic Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru, the Festival has an interesting line up of events planned in and around Vidhana Soudha in October. With immense encouragement towards the cause by both the Houses of State and the National Institute of Advanced Studies (at IISC, Bangalore), the Festival hopes to mark this momentous occasion in Karnataka by bringing in National and International delegates to the State to witness the first of its kind Environmental Consciousness Festival in India.

Few of the eminent names who will be coming to Bengaluru to participate in this meaningful Festival of Nature & Conservation are Mr. Anote Tong, President, Republic of Kiribati; Ms. Anousheh Ansari, the first Iranian astronaut, Mr. Robert Charles Swan, Adventurist Guinness Record Holder from USA, Ms. Dia Mirza, Artist & Environmentalist from India, Mr. Mordecai Ogada, Carnivore Ecologist from Kenya, Mr. Jairam Ramesh, Former Union Minister & Economist from India, Ms. Meital Rusdai, South India head of UNICEF, Grammy®-award winning musicians like Ms. Darlene Koldenhoven (USA), Mr. Wouter Kellerman (S. Africa), Mr. Rocky Dawuni (Ghana), world renowned Artists like Mr. Dhritiman Mukherjee, Mr. Milind Nayak, Mr. Sachin Deo, Mr. Umeed, Ms. Tasneem, well known Film Makers like Mr. Alphonse Roy, Mr. Fredric Ollerstam (Sweden), Mr. Sairam Sagiraju and many others.

The Festival also walks the talk by promising to be the ‘First Ever Event’ in the whole of India aiming to be completely carbon neutral through their association with Smarter Dharma.
