Bengaluru: With Congress party leaders sensing a victory for the party in the state assembly polls, senior leaders have already started to stake claim for Chief Minister’s post. Even though party has made it clear that party will go to polls under the leadership of Siddaramaiah, it has not stopped leaders from voicing their demands.
Recently energy minister D K Shivakumar created a flutter by stating that he is also in the race for CM post, on Friday KPCC President Dr G Parameshwar created a storm by stating he is also a CM post aspirant.
Speaking to reporters at Tumakuru city, Dr G Parameshwar stated that if party comes to power in the 2018 assembly election he too is a CM aspirant. “Party will retain power in 2018 election. New CM will be decided by party high command. I am also in the race,” he said.
“In the Congress party no one retained is party state president for second term. But party high command retained me as the president for second term also. This shows party’s confidence in me. Naturally I am also a CM aspirant,” he said.
